My sister came in from out of state to this West Lake hospital for surgery. We were worried about how she would be cared for. Two other sisters arrived and Lesya went above and beyond to get additional permission to allow us to stay overnight with our family member. She brought 2 recliners into the room so that we would be comfortable. She continued to provide us with blankets and even went looking for pillows and ensured that we had meals provided for us. She continued to treat us special. She addressed my sister’s pain and she said, “when you care it does not hurt.” My sister has been admitted three times to this hospital and this nurse has exceeded our expectations. That’s why she is our DAISY Nurse.
