My 98 year old mother was diagnosed at JMH with serious terminal abdominal necrosis. After diagnosis, she remained in Room 325 in hospice for 6 days until her passing. All the nurses were wonderful, but the one that we really connected with was Letha Clark, who works the night shift. She was extremely efficient and knowledgeable, but her interpersonal skills were above and beyond our expectations. She took an interest in the patient’s life history, including spouse, children, and grandchildren. Her warm and caring personality made us feel secure knowing they would take care of mom when we left the hospital late each evening for dinner and sleep. And beyond caring for her patient, she was always quick to offer my wife and I anything we might need to make us more comfortable. Letha is an amazing nurse who we believe deserves special recognition.
