Lila Mastriano, RN

I was diagnosed with an invasive aggressive breast cancer in January and by February had a mastectomy and lymph node removal. I’m on chemo and had my third round each one harder than the last, and I got so sick they admitted me. There was Lila, my nurse, when I was feeling as bad as I can feel, Lila let me cry on her shoulder. She held me and calmed me down. She let me get it all out. Lila was so sweet and compassionate and showed just how much she cared about other people and what they are going through! She stayed with me until she knew my nausea subsided and she really held me close to her heart. Lila is a remarkable person and should be commended in every way possible. She is definitely my favorite nurse and I will never forget the sincere deep affection, tenderness and respect Lila showed me. I will always remember my Lila..
