...a baby girl was delivered with the birth defects incompatible with life. The baby had passed away before the mom came to our unit for labor induction. Liliya cared for this mom for 12 hours but the patient did not deliver that day. The next day the patient was so bonded with Liliya, she requested her. The baby was born that day. This is hard for our staff because we love bringing life into the world. So, to care for a patient in such a sad situation, to care and give so much that the patient wants that RN the next day, is Remarkable.

There was an organization called Be Not Afraid working with this patient. The organization is providing perinatal hospice support.

The feedback from this group was that "the nursing care and chaplain support provided to the baby's family were wonderful."
