My husband was admitted after being in the ER. Lillian was assigned to him when he was admitted. As far as we are concerned, Lillian went above and beyond her job as a nurse to make us both feel at ease and took care of all of our needs. We had extra needs during our stay, and Lillian ensured we had what we needed. My husband has a funny sense of humor, and he would joke with Lillian and vice versa, which made the stay more enjoyable- if a hospital stay can be enjoyable. Lillian made us both laugh and listened to all his needs, and then some. It takes a special person to be a nurse. They need to have a sense of humor, compassion, energy, and strength (on all levels), as well as a desire to take care of patients and their families. Lillian meets all of these requirements and more. We are honored to nominate Lillian for The DAISY Award.
