It is with great enthusiasm and respect that I nominate Lilyana Lopez, a dedicated and exemplary nurse at Mount Sinai Morningside, for the prestigious DAISY Award. Lilyana embodies all the values of MSM. From the moment I met her, I was welcomed with a smile and love.

Lily was the "Mom" (Head Nurse) on the first day we met. As she tended to my trauma wounds, the staff kept coming in to ask her questions and advice. I marveled at how she balanced the responsibilities of leading with the focus she had on me and my needs at the same time. This ability is more of an art than a skill that comes from within.
