Our 81-year-old Daddy was transferred from the ICU to 3 East. He seemed to be getting better but then took a turn for the worse. Linda was there advocating for him her whole shift. She compassionately listened to any concerns we had. Linda checked on him often, watched him closely, and was proactive in getting him step-up care from the Rapid Response team. She facilitated conversations with the hospitalist and made sure our questions were answered. I am so thankful that Linda was there to help us understand the death process and to help Daddy die with dignity. Her compassion for her patients is remarkable, and she is a true asset to the third-floor team.
