Linda McMillan took care of a patient who presented with bronchitis symptoms. During the exam, Linda noticed a lump on the patient's chest. She urged the patient to have the lump immediately checked out. Afterward, per the provider's instructions, the patient went to her PCP to have the lump checked; and at that time, it was discovered that the patient had stage 4 lung cancer.
The patient called back and stated she was very grateful that Linda completed a thorough assessment and noticed the lump that saved her life. The patient was extremely grateful for the great service and she is extremely grateful for Linda's care and direction she received that day in the clinic.
