I recently had a C-section delivery at Mission Hospital. Our family had an awesome experience, and it is mostly due to the great nurses and staff that we were blessed with during our four-day stay. One nurse in particular provided such high quality care that we nominated her for this award - Lisa Marshall. Lisa took care of me just like a family member would take care of me.

My husband and I are "older" first-time parents, and we learned so much from Lisa. She was so patient with us and did not make us feel stupid or inadequate. Lisa would always consult with me about my goals for myself and the baby, and then would teach me the things I needed to know to reach those goals.

Lisa was very professional, yet personal as well. She established a rapport with my family while they were visiting. She was extraordinary with my husband! Due to the C-section, my husband had to care for the baby while we were in the hospital. She was so patient and kind with him! My husband and I both created a bond with her!

We want Lisa to know how much we appreciate her kindness and efforts, above and beyond, to make our stay a pleasant experience at Mission! We will never forget Lisa!
