After a tragic fall, my husband was transferred from the Trauma Center to 2E ICU with life-ending injuries. From the time he arrived in ICU until the time he passed away, Lisa was kind, compassionate, and empathic to our situation (this consisted of Lisa's full shift for the evening). She continued to talk to him and let him die with dignity and respect. Lisa kept us informed and explained what was going on at all times. We would take a break and go to the waiting room, and she would come and get us if something was of concern, and we should come back to the room. She explained everything to us in a way that we could understand what was happening. We are so grateful to have had a wonderful, caring nurse be with us to the end of his life. The comfort we received from Lisa was appreciated and will never be forgotten during this very difficult time.
