She walked her through everything that she should expect through the labor and delivery process in a way that eased my daughter's fears. Lora was completely attentive to her needs and continued to be supportive and uplifting throughout her entire shift.
My 19-year-old daughter was admitted to Williamson Health at midnight to deliver her first child. Being so young, and becoming a single mother, she was terrified of what was to come. Lora came on shift at 0630 and upon entering the room, it was like a weight was lifted off of my daughter's shoulders. Her smile was so genuine, and her demeanor was radiating, as she walked through the door and immediately engaged with our family. We just knew that she was living out what God had called her to do. The presence that she carried with her was immediately soothing to my daughter and me, and it was as if we had known her for years. Lora immediately connected with my daughter and spoke to her without being biased or judgmental. She walked her through everything that she should expect through the labor and delivery process in a way that eased my daughter's fears. Lora was completely attentive to her needs and continued to be supportive and uplifting throughout her entire shift. Even after her shift, Lora kept a check on my daughter throughout the evening and continued to cheer her on, as well as pray for her, as the baby was having late decelerations. Lora truly has a passion for her job and serving others. Lora brought out the strength and courage in my daughter to push through the pain, worry, and fears that she was experiencing. Lora demonstrates the compassion of a DAISY Nurse. The only thing that we would change is to keep Lora with us through the delivery!
