Since the day of my daughter's birth 9 years ago, Lori Highland has continued to provide excellent service time and time again. When we call and tell her our daughter's symptoms, she listens and quickly gives us direction and assistance. She helped us prior to our daughter having a heart transplant and after. As you can imagine, with a heart transplant patient, various situations occur (feeding issues, pneumonia, GI issues, sinus node issues, low heart rate, rejection etc.) Lori is always calm and put us at ease. She remembers her patients and their families- what they need medically and personally. She has a great bedside manner and always makes our daughter leave with a smile even when she might be scared. Also, she never forgets to let our older daughter know how important her support is to our younger daughter's care (She makes our older daughter feel a part of the process and not an outsider). Lori was very supportive when our older daughter received her fourth concussion. I called and she went over her symptoms with me. Upon hearing them she quickly found us a slot to come in. She was waiting for us when we arrived and took excellent care of our entire family. We were very concerned with it being our daughter's fourth concussion. Simply put, she is an asset to Madigan and the Pediatric Clinic. She is kind, friendly, has a wealth of knowledge, and is efficient. She is an excellent nurse and her patients are lucky to have her.
