Lorna has been sending nurses and surgical technicians to Eau Claire to observe and take part in total joint replacements in preparation for the new orthopedic surgeon starting in Barron this fall. Offering total joint replacements in Barron will be new, which will have a significant effect on department staff.
Our department is very much a family unit, and a lot of this has to do with Lorna. She has made an effort to keep everyone in the loop about the new things that are going on in our department. She has created various communication tactics so we are able to maintain an effective work environment where everyone feels included.
Larson has been working in Surgical Services for 42 years.
