I worked with Lorrie throughout the beginning of my journey within the hospital setting and have gained a great deal of experience thanks to her compassion, patience, understanding, and encouragement. Since my time with her, starting in 2016, I have experienced so much, to my benefit, due to her selflessness, and I have watched her do the same with so many of my peers. She has continually shown up during and outside of work hours to encourage her team to grow and blossom where they are planted and did everything in her power to put them in positions to gain even more for their benefit. There were plenty of times when I or a colleague weren't sure we would be able to continue on the journey in the healthcare field, and Lorrie's encouragement was able to aid us in following through the tough times. As a nurse, she has shown patience beyond reason in many situations, going above and beyond the call of duty for those in her care. Whether it be to find a ride after discharge or to ensure safety when all else has failed outside the hospital's scope of care. Lorrie has put her best foot forward in her career and has held fast in that position. I'm forever thankful for who she is and all that she has taught so many of us, no matter who we are or where we come from.
