We recently had a computer outage and the patient had to reschedule. When he came in for the rescheduled procedure, Lorrie made sure that an additional procedure that was due to be done the following day was done the day that he was here so he would not have to return. The patient was a primary caregiver for his homebound, ill wife. He (the patient) was so grateful. This may sound easy enough but it required talking to registration, x-ray, ultrasound and lab work to be done to allow it to happen and make it easier for the patient. Lorrie is an Extraordinary Nurse who helped an ill, primary caregiver for another person, have an easier time. This was a very caring and kind thing to do for the patient.
