I would like to thank Louise and believe she deserves a DAISY Award because the care she gave my mum was outstanding. She went above and beyond to make sure my mum was comfortable and nothing we asked for was too much trouble. She was absolutely run off her feet but still made time to keep checking up to make sure my mum was okay. When Mum was admitted, she made me feel comfortable leaving her, knowing she was in such caring and kind hands.

I would like to say thank you to this wonderful Nurse, Louise. On my day of arriving in this department for the second time, Louise listened to my concerns and escalated me to a doctor. I had an accident, and the pain was extreme, and I was being sick and unable to eat. When under her care, I saw a doctor and had my blood taken. Louise soon came back with medication to help reduce the pain. The knowledge this nurse had was amazing; she updated me every step of the way. She ensured I was comfortable and hydrated. While under her care, I could see that the area was extremely busy. Even with all the pressures around Louise, she was happy and always asked me and others if they were okay. The dedication to helping others in their time of need shines through. While I was in the department, my scan came back, and this time, I had an answer as to why I was in this pain. Louise came to check on me asked me if the pain had reduced, sadly this was not the case. Once again, she spoke to the doctor, who arranged for more medication. That night in the area, I found others who had been there for hours, like me. Even when asked a question by myself or others, Louise always came back with an update on the plan.

Louise had so much empathy for me and others that day. You’re a wonderful caring nurse. You made me feel at ease and looked after me until I was sent home.

Thank you, Louise. You are an asset to your team and showed how, even when you are busy, you still ensure that your patients are safe and not in pain. You always had a smile, too. Thank you.
