His empathy is above any I have ever experienced.
My mother had a stroke, cannot walk, is weak, and is very agitated. Her nurse has been patient, kind, attentive, and loving. I’ve never witnessed such kindness, and he should be praised! Thank you!!

Loy was my nurse for 3 nights, and he was the best nurse I had. He was so attentive; he made sure when I was not feeling well to help me stay positive, along with explaining everything that was being done to me at all times and helping me get back to a stable condition. He checked on me multiple times, and he respected the fact that I was sleeping, and I didn’t even notice when he would come in and do what needed to be done. He treated my daughters wonderfully, was attentive to them, and explained everything to them. He is an asset to your hospital and I hope you will commemorate him as such. He has been the best nurse I have ever had.

Extremely professional, always there to help with a smile. The best nurse we had.

Mr. Alvarez goes above and beyond his duties in a professional and efficient manner. He is on top of every little detail regarding the care of his patients. There is no need to request anything from him because he has already foreseen all possibilities and attached all corners. In addition to all of the above, his empathy is above any I have ever experienced. He is an asset to your organization and should be commended for his performance and diligence.

He was very enthusiastic about his job and showed great professionalism. Very helpful and courteous.

My husband needed an MEI, which was scheduled late at night. I didn’t want to leave, but I was exhausted. He made sure that I knew he could call me immediately with any information. He kept my husband abreast of all medical information and always had a smile and a spectacular attitude.

Nurse Loy went over and beyond during his care of me.  He searched until he found a piece of equipment that worked better than what I had.  His professionalism, knowledge, kindness, and extra care will be something I'll never forget. Oh! He got me moved from the freezing room I was in first, the thermostat wasn't working - 67° was way too cold for a patient lying in bed.  I sincerely nominate Loy for the DAISY Award.  He is a first-class nurse and a representative of Doctors Hospital.  He obviously loves his job.  Very dedicated to patients and their care.
