Lucas McAlister, RN

Lucas McAlister had a patient who had coded in the ER after throwing up in her brand new very expensive hair extensions. While this patient was sedated and intubated and incredibly critical, Lucas took the time to not only wash this patient's hair, but he even made his own concoction of conditioner with lotion and water, and combed her very long, matted, tangled hair section by section because he knew how important they were to this patient. Something so simple and "unimportant" may seem like no big deal. Most nurses wouldn't take the time and consideration he took with this patient, especially a male nurse. Lucas went above and beyond and I am proud to be his coworker.
