…I checked in with my dad's nurse, Lurline Nette, RN, in the Cardiac Care Unit of the Los Angeles Medical center. She was exceptionally caring and understanding. She made accommodations for my family members and me in my dad's room, and made sure we were comfortable and kept up-to-date with information. After I made the decision to place my dad on a morphine drip, so that he could pass away painlessly, Lurline was extremely empathetic with me, and seemed to understand exactly what I was (and would be) experiencing.
After my dad passed away, Lurline was amazingly supportive with my family members and me, and provided me with phone numbers, contacts, and other information that I might be requiring in the days ahead. I cannot say enough about Lurline, except to convey that she is an asset to the Cardiac Care Unit, and that I truly believe that nursing is her true calling.
