Words cannot express my gratitude for all the care I received, but especially from Lydia. No matter how hectic the day was, she provided me with everything I needed and never made me feel rushed. She went out of her way to bring me a special coffee prior to discharge because of a headache from lack of caffeine. It was like a Christmas gift. To be thinking of your patient's care after your shift ends, truly shows what a great nurse and person she is. I was extremely overwhelmed that she thought of me.
Lydia made a point to validate my emotions and understand how my crazy mind works, without making me feel like I'm a nut. Every nurse was great, but there was just something about Lydia that allowed me to feel okay to share my thoughts and why they may be hindering my healing while here.
The thoughtfulness and kindness that Lydia gave me will forever stay with me. Thank you for the coffee. It was the best coffee of my life!
