Lynn was the RN in charge yesterday in the ER and was a huge help to the OR. We had just received an emergency craniotomy from the ER and they were expecting another trauma. Lynn called the OR desk to give us a "heads up" after the EMS had called them to alert them of the trauma patient coming. This allowed the OR to pull the case, get organized, and be prepared for the patient prior to the trauma alert being paged overhead in the hospital.
