She was genuinely kind and showed empathy for our situation.
When my husband was admitted we had no idea he would end up in the ICU. It was terribly scary for both of us. All the nurses were wonderful, but Lynn helped us through some of the darkest times. When C had been on and off his Bipap and was becoming more confused Lynn quickly got the doctors involved. She explained everything about intubation and the why. She was genuinely kind and showed empathy for our situation. The night before we went to comfort care measures, Lynn asked if we had any goals for the night. I told her the one thing I wanted to do was lay with him one last night. Without hesitation, Lynn said we would find a way to make that happen. While I went to take a shower, she got it all ready. She made sure we had as little disruptions as possible through the night. It was honestly the best sleep we had in the hospital. It was a small gesture but it honestly meant the world to me. The next day, C passed away. I am so thankful and will cherish that moment that Lynn helped create. She truly was a blessing to our family.
