I received an order on 10.02.15 for an echocardiogram in the nursery department on a newborn baby. Lynne Gibbons, the NICU nurse was assigned to help perform the procedure. She did her job above and beyond-in addition to helping the echo tech; Lynne accessed the baby, cleaned and changed baby's clothes, comforted the baby and did all extra work that was not a part of her duties. In addition, I'd like to mention that Lynne Gibbons is always helpful, has a great personality, is a team player, and demonstrates high professionalism.
Lynne is a very seasoned NICU nurse who cares for the babies she takes care of and their families. I've seen Lynne take care of some of the sickest babies in the unit. Her insight and experience make her one of the best NICU nurses I've worked with. She is known for picking up on problems the babies she cares for before the baby may show signs or symptoms. Lynne is also very caring and protective to the babies as described in her nomination, she can be seen cuddling her babies, calming the babies who are in isolettes, and making sure when the babies are getting a procedure, that they are nurtured.
