Macayla cared for a patient the night before Thanksgiving who had been sick for a long time. The patient was feeling pretty down about her appearance, especially her hair. Since Macayla is a licensed cosmetologist, she came in on Thanksgiving, even though it was her day off, to cut and style this patient’s hair. What a beautiful example of a Franciscan nurse living our mission and values! Thank you, Macayla, for donating your personal time and skills to spread love and joy to our patients.
