Our husband and dad was admitted unexpectedly as he was having stressful and important symptoms. He is 98 years old. We were so fortunate to be under the care of Machelle on 4-North. She showed compassion and kindness but with great efficiency she “showed up” for every alarm or need. She addressed all our fears and eased our minds as she cared for him. She explained every action in detail and comforted us with her explications. She told us that as soon as she knew something, we would know something, and she has been faithful to that statement. I think she has devoted over 25 years to nursing and to her patients and their families. We also heard about her contributions to her community through her garden to those in need.
