My friend was in the cancer unit, and I stayed the night with her because the next day was her birthday, and it would be her last birthday. My friend’s hair was matted in one big knot. She wanted it out so she would look pretty for her birthday, and this sweet, sweet nurse named Kinzie helped me get it out. We didn’t accomplish it, so when I was asleep, I was told that Kinzie had come back in to try again.

This may not seem like much to most people, but my friend and I knew right then, and there that she was special! Thank you, Kinzie, for going out of your way to help my dying friend.
