Madeline Hurst, BSN, RN, CCRN

My mom had heart surgery at Cleveland Clinic and has been in the hospital for almost seven weeks. We have seen many nurses and hospital staff over those seven weeks, but Madeline stands out as the best. The first day we met Madeline, she had a nursing student with her. Throughout the day she took the time to explain what was happening, why, and next steps to both the nursing student and our family. She was reassuring, kind, and an amazing nurse. She spoke to our mom with such kindness and treated her as her own family member. Throughout the day she would ask us if we had questions and took the time to comfort us. We quickly understood why she had a nursing student with her as she was such a good teacher. The nursing student was lucky to have her. Our family can never thank Madeline for the kindness she showed our family during a very stressful time.
