Recently my daughter was admitted to the Pediatric floor. As an employee of this hospital, I knew I would receive great care. From the moment we walked into the ER from the time we were discharged from the Pediatric floor, we received nothing less than great care. In fact, we received excellent care. However, there was one nurse that stood out in our minds. Madison Hicks is the true definition of a nurse. From the moment she met my daughter, she was gaining her trust in so many ways. Madison would come in and play with her, explain what she was doing every time, and even let her scan her barcodes for medications. She was knowledgeable, respectful, and more than anything comforting to my child in this stressful, scary time. It is hard to put into words how amazing Madison was and how thankful I was for her and all of our nurses.
