Mallory was nominated for the DAISY Award twice, once by a co-worker in regards to Mallory's care of a particular patient, and again by that same patient's wife.

"Mallory made a connection with him (patient) almost right away. He had suffered a severe, devastating stroke and had been in the hospital for over a month and was very depressed. Mallory knew he liked Disney music so she played him music and sang and danced with him. By the time he was discharged everyone had gotten used to singing and dancing with him - all because of the extraordinary care that Mallory provided."

Mallory states "I have always has a drive and compassion to care for others. I also love learning about pathophysiology of the human body and was just lucky to have found a career that allows me to do both."
