Marcie was assigned to one of our patients on 2 West with severe dementia.  This patient is known to be difficult to re-orient at times and frequently refuses her medications.  

Marcie stated that on her days off, she goes to the Dollar store and buys make-up and earrings to provide to her patients and gives them a “spa day.”  

After combing her patient’s hair, doing her make-up, and putting earrings on, the patient cried and thanked Marcie and actually took her medications.
