My husband has been at AMITA Holy Family Medical Center for a while. We have come across many nurses, therapists, and physicians. Today, I would like to compliment my husband's ICU nurse, Maren. For families, little things mean a lot. Today when I walked into the room my husband looked wonderful! The room was tidy and he was smiling. As soon as I arrived, Maren came in and greeted me, she provided me an overview of what had gone on up until my arrival. She truly was involved in my husband's care. She continued to come in on a regular basis, checking on him and turning him. She always talked to him in a positive manner and checked with me if I too needed anything. She is a wonderful person and not only gives 100% to her patients but 110%! Kindness and compassion go a long way, my daughters and I understand that every nurse is extremely busy, but Maren, as busy as she was, made it a point to make sure both my husband and I were comfortable.
