From the moment we arrived, Maggie made us feel right at home. I was scheduled for a repeat C-section and shortly after we arrived, I started having contractions. Maggie and her team were so kind to let me know my options and that maybe I could labor naturally turns out, I couldn’t – but Maggie kept us well taken care of with drinks for my husband and personal anecdotes about her family and hobbies until we found out the results. She just went above and beyond on every aspect to explain it and made sure everything was taken care of. The main reason I wanted to nominate Maggie was that during my C-section, I could hear the doctors discussing various things about what kind of scar tissue, position of my bladder and something about a “true knot”. I couldn’t really make sense of any of it myself and Maggie picked up on that. She took the time to come around the curtain and tell us that we indeed had a guardian angel watching us today. The baby was not processing well in natural labor and was saved because the issue wasn’t detectable until doctors could see inside. After putting my soul to rest about the guilt of my body not laboring on its own, she took photos for us, and again provide excellent care while getting us to the maternity floor. All with a sense of genuine pleasure and professionalism. Maggie was a true gem today and deserves all the recognition.
