Margaret Miller exemplifies the meaning of caring and kindness. My granddaughter S was born 5 weeks prematurely and was sent to the NICU. It was discovered that my daughter had used drugs early in her pregnancy and although she and the baby were both negative at birth, a long wait for the meconium to be tested ensued. My daughter also has a history of severe Bipolar and ultimately did not bond with her baby. Margaret was so kind and caring to both my daughter and to me. She never made us feel as if we were being judged. She was an expert in the care of my granddaughter and always made me feel welcome in the NICU. 11 months later, S is thriving at home with me. I am so thankful for a nurse who allowed me to be a part of the care while S was in the NICU, but more importantly, the kindness, caring and non-judgmental attitude that Margaret consistently displayed was unsurpassed.
