Mother experienced an extreme cardiac event. She was admitted to the ICU. We were blessed to have Maria as her nurse for 3 nights in a row. She was very compassionate and gentle with Mom. She was careful with turning her and she went out of her way to use the shampoo cap twice to get mom's hair clean. She was thoughtful and considerate while explaining what she was doing and what was happening to Mom. She also was determined to ensure that Mom was protected from too much stimulus. I have never been an ICU nurse but know that it takes a special heart to work in that position. She has that special heart.
