My husband was in ICU for 16 days on life supports following a heart attack. Maria made sure we knew everything we needed to know if we hadn't gotten it answered and she would express our concerns. She advocated to make sure he got therapy after he started to become emaciated and he was losing muscle mass. She showed compassion and caring to not only my husband, who was in a drug induced coma, but to the family who was there quite regularly.
