Marianna Marchenko, BSN, RN

I have two pre-existing conditions and I broke my TIB/FIB. I was admitted for a week before making my way to Santa Fe to stay with family. I ended up getting admitted to CHRISTUS St. Vincent Hospital with sepsis and pyelo as well. Because of already having Dysautonomia and POTS, my heart rate and oxygen were all over the place.
I have been in and out of the hospitals for five years now, countless nurses, lots of Doctors, but Marianna stood out! I had already spent one month in the hospital so you can imagine how sick of hospitals I was. I got moved to PCU the second day and I met Marianna. I was grumpy, sick, and all-around not doing great, and had my broken leg. The minute Marianna came in she made me laugh and joke around. She has incredible energy, spunk, and personality. She stayed on top of all my meds, what time I needed them and when. She also took her time to explain at shift change to oncoming staff exactly what my pre-existing conditions are and how they were being affected. She is amazing and I am so thankful to have got her!
