I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer/fallopian tube cancer. Dr. J MAGOPSA ordered 6-8 chemotherapy sessions. Dealing with cancer was totally unexpected and changed my whole journey into retirement. Marianne was my chemo nurse for my first treatment. As a new patient, I was very anxious but Marianne explained everything and made sure that I was comfortable including snacks and ice packs. During the first dose of Taxol, I explained that I felt a lot of itching on my arms and legs and was told this can be a normal allergic reaction. Marianne immediately stopped the Taxol treatment and gave me more Benadryl to stop the itching and then was able to restart the Taxol. She was very professional and provided details about the entire process.

After having Marianne a second time as my nurse, I asked if I could request Marianne as my infusion nurse for the remainder of my sessions. I was fortunate to have Marianne again, and she made sure I rang the bell after the treatment. I had heard from two other patients that I needed to "ring the bell." My husband videotaped the event and we even took pictures with Marianne. I am scheduled for surgery next and am not sure if I will need additional chemotherapy sessions but am grateful for Marianne's TLC during this difficult time. Marianne also took excellent notes in the appointment details. Thank you very much.
