Congratulations to Marianne McKaig from 3 East for her selection as the April DAISY award winner from HVSH. Her nomination read as follows:
Marianne took initiative to contact my consulted physician to check when he planned on seeing me. When she found out it wasn’t until morning, she contacted my PCP for direction on managing my pain throughout the night. It would have been impossible to correct the stalemate, occurring due to a communication breakdown amongst my team of physicians. She did everything she could, to make sure I was as safe and comfortable as possible throughout the night.
