I was admitted at 3:30pm to the third floor for Gall Bladder surgery. I left the floor after 5 pm, and I returned to the floor during the night shift. Marie was my nurse, and she was orienting another nurse. Marie was professional, caring, compassionate, and a great teacher for Lakeview’s new nurse. Marie explained everything and embodied AIDET. She communicated on the whiteboard at all times, and when she stated she would come back, she did! I was impressed with her knowledge and care. Marie took care of my body and soul and was on top of my every need. I was able to be discharged before noon the next day because of her. Marie stayed on top of my care, and I progressed throughout the night. I was able to eat, ambulate, and hit all of my milestones. Thank you, Marie. You are a DAISY Nurse.
