I would like to take a moment to tell you about the amazing experience we had while my grandfather was in the hospital under Marie's care. She had cared for him on his final days and the night we had put him in hospice which was also the night leading up to his passing. She answered any of the questions that the family had as they came up without hesitation and at length. She was checking in with my Grandfather often to see if he needed anything.

They had given him the ok to eat again, but it was after 7 pm when he was told that the kitchen was already closed. She offered him a popsicle, then without hesitation, she went and got a muffin she had put aside for herself and gave it to him. A short while later she showed up with a bag; she had ordered him something hot to eat from an outside location for his last meal. It wasn't asked of her, she had done it without any of us knowing. She made sure that he was able to enjoy a hot meal on his final night. Her Compassion for her job and her patients is something I'm never going to forget. She made sure he was washed up, shaved and all hygiene was done so he could enjoy his final hours with his family. We couldn't have asked for a better nurse or experience during this extremely difficult time.
