While wearing PPE, Mrs. Maula still managed to give the best care to my child.
My baby had bilateral pneumonia. As a first-time mom, it was devastating. She was also a suspected COVID19 patient, so no private hospital would accept us. The fact that my child was sick was already unbearable. As a nurse, I wanted my child to receive the best nursing care. Finally, someone helped us to manage my child's condition.

Mrs. Maula was one of the nurses for my child during her 5 days stay in the hospital. Mrs. Maula was exceptional! While wearing PPE, she still managed to give the best care to my child. She stayed in our room to make sure my child's intravenous fluid was working well. She always checked my baby's vital signs. She even borrowed a pulse oximeter from a pediatric doctor which is fit for a baby just to ensure the accurate reading of her oxygen saturation.

She was the only nurse during that time who got into our room even at midnight to check my child's vital signs and regulate her IV fluids. She used her watch and stayed there for more than a few minutes to ensure that the flow was accurate. Compared to other nurses on duty, Mrs. Maula was older. Despite her age, she stayed up late and went the extra mile in giving the best possible care for my child. She did not only render nursing care but gave health advice and the best of all, a mother's advice. When no one seemed to care, she noticed my anxiety and worrying as a mother and that made me feel better and I admired her.
