Marissa is an Assistant Nurse Manager who also spends a good portion of her time assisting nurses and patients. I see her in patient rooms daily. She does not bat an eye when someone needs help. Regardless of who it is, Marissa also spends time letting people vent to her. People trust her and count on her more than anyone I know. There are countless times I felt lost or did not know the most optimal path forward, but Marissa helped me every single time. She is personal with doctors, nurses, patients, wound care staff or anyone around her. Marissa does everything in her power to improve the lives around her. She always stays neutral in a staff discussion or drama and can also handle a difficult patient who is screaming and wanted to leave AMA. She makes the unit and its patients better when she is here.
