Marka Linville went above and beyond her nursing duties on Wednesday, February 8, 2012. The last patient of the day was ready to go home. His wife and two small girls went to get their car to take our patient home. Our patient’s family came back in and stated that they had a flat tire. The wife was very nervous and worried about their situation. They did not have a spare tire and had no one to call for help. Marka immediately stepped up to assist this family in need. Marka called AAA motor club, in which she was a member. She asked them to send a tow truck. Marka also took the wife up to the gas station to get a fix-a-flat and assisted the wife to fill the tire. When the fix-a-flat failed to work, Marka drove the entire family in her car to the tire barn, following the tow truck so the family could buy a new tire.
