My nurse definitely went out of her way to make sure I knew what was going on and to make sure I was comfortable. She genuinely cares about her patients and doesn't treat it just like a job. She goes above and beyond! We definitely need more nurses like her.

The reason that I nominated Markesha for the DAISY Award was because she was so sweet, very caring, very on top of everything and she was an amazing nurse. Even the next day when she wasn't my nurse she checked on me to see how I was doing and if I needed anything; she even asked by husband if he needed anything and he wasn't even a patient. So that just goes to show how big of a heart she has and how caring she is, we need more nurses like Markesha. Nurses that actually care about their job and their patients and don't make it seem like it's just a job and they are just there to get paid.
