Marryn comforted us, got down on my level, and made sure to see how I was doing and if there was anything she could do. The care that she provided was above and beyond.
I don't even know where to begin. Marryn was our nurse two days in a row for myself and our new baby boy. She came in with such a positive, bright energy and a huge smile on her face. Right away, I could tell we had an amazing nurse taking care of us. For the two days she was with us, she respected our requests with certain things. We did not want our son to leave our room, so for 24 hour cares/testing she brought EVERYTHING to our room and did all the testing right in front of us. I know this was more of a hassle but she NEVER made us feel bad. We are first time parents and let me tell you the patience she had with us and all our questions was great. She ALWAYS took the time to explain things better, especially to my husband who has no medical background. She was GREAT at educating us and making sure we felt comfortable and understood things. On our first day with us, things were a little crazy as our little boy was diagnosed with a hernia. We received a call from his provider that the Peds Surgeon was on his way to assess our little boy, and he may need to go into emergency surgery that night. Marryn comforted us, got down on my level, and made sure to see how I was doing and if there was anything she could do. The care that she provided was above and beyond. She made sure to collaborate with our provider and the surgeon to know our plan. Marryn, you truly are an amazing nurse and deserve all the recognition for everything you do. I can't thank you enough for providing us comfort and care during our hectic stay. You went above and beyond for us! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Marryn was overall just amazing! I had been admitted for a little over a week with preeclampsia and also trying to navigate NICU life. When she came in as our nurse it was instantly a great experience due to her personality. She made us laugh, visited with us, and held on to conversations, always made sure we had what we needed, answered all questions, and went above and beyond by printing me out separate information packets to help me better understand. If we were down visiting baby and the NICU, she tried to be as flexible as possible and would come down to give me meds or take my vitals. This was super appreciated as we were able to really just focus time on our baby, and she was the only one to offer and do this for us. She always managed to keep us both in good spirits despite our situation and we honestly looked forward to her coming in to check on us as it made the day better! She also never failed to ask how our baby was doing and was even encouraging through those beginning days of my pumping journey. She would always discuss my concerns with me whether it was a medication, something I decided to Google or just something that was an off feeling for me. Never once made me feel silly for asking my several questions. Instead, she answered them all and if she wasn't 100% sure she went to confirm with someone and got right back to me. She also would make time to converse and include my fiancée when she'd come in, which we both really enjoyed is usually the nurses just came in and did what they always needed asked what we needed and left. Overall, we absolutely loved having her as a nurse and I'll be honest when she told me us, she wouldn't be working on our discharge day we both cried when she left. She made a huge impact on her stay, and she definitely deserves to be recognized!

I gave birth to twin girls. While I had wonderful interactions with everyone and was greatly appreciative of all the care I received, Marryn really helped me on a night I was really struggling, and she went far above and beyond. During her shift I was having a really hard time emotionally as one of my girls had jaundice and had to go under light treatment. My child really struggled with this, and she would regularly and consistently cry for what felt like several hours. I felt a lot of guilt about this, and Marryn was so absolutely kind and reassuring every interaction I had with her. She went far above and beyond to help me feel truly heard and comforted. She tried and offered suggestions as well to ensure both my and my child's needs were met, and she comforted me when I cried multiple times. She was also able to get her charge nurse and come up with a solution that ultimately greatly decreased my child's crying and also allowed her to get her needed treatment. I will never forget the care I received from her and how she made me feel in this time of high stress and need. I am so so grateful for her kindness, compassion, and empathy.
