From the moment Matt entered my wife’s room, he presented himself with care, professionalism, and a true sense that his purpose was to provide great, compassionate care to my wife. He exceeded this in every aspect of his chosen career. His attributes, traits, performance include listening, assessing the patient’s problem, and becoming the solution! Matt is a vital asset to your nursing team!

Matt made my 81-year-old mother and the entire family so welcome and comfortable at Chesapeake Regional. His confidence in the hospital and the entire team was so evident. It really helped curb our fears and anxiety! My mom lost her husband of 64 years to heart failure a couple of weeks ago. Our family really needed some extra care. My mom had colon resection surgery and we have been so overwhelmed for the past few weeks. Matt was so patient with my mom’s stories about my dad. I can’t say enough about his skills as a nurse and his kind heart. We will never forget him! My Mom was released today and when we got her home she said, ‘I sure do miss Matt!’
