Maureen Wosepka is part of the Committee on Students panel of which I have been a student representative for two years. Maureen is very personable and shows genuine interest in connecting with students and faculty everywhere she is present. As I have participated in student-athletics at St. Kate's, Maureen has shown interest in my success in and outside of the classroom by attending my athletic competitions. Maureen shows passion for the nursing profession and public health through lectures, clinical experiences and in her day-to-day life. Maureen is a prominent part of the nursing faculty at St. Catherine University.
She has been ones of my professors since I first began the nursing program. During her years as my professor, she has always tried to get to know her students. She is dedicated to learning about them, their interests, and how she can best support her students. She always asks about how I am doing and is there to support me when I have issues whether they are personal or school related. During her time as my professor, she has always shown enthusiasm and passion for teaching students, especially teaching and exposing them to public health. She has always encouraged all of us to be interested in learning and is always open to us asking questions. Overall, Maureen has shown me what it means to be a nurse and has helped me develop into a better person and learner.
Maureen demonstrates heart-centered genuineness to not only care for others as a nurse and give back to the community but to also educate future nurses, providing them the support, inspiration and tools they need to grow into the best nurses they can be as well as embrace their unique aesthetic to nursing and make the art of nursing their own.
