Mayela Rodriguez, RN
We had an infant patient whose mother became our patient, and Nurse Mayela took on the responsibility of watching the 7 week old and one of the siblings so mom could sleep--mother was vomiting and not doing well. Mayela was concerned for the mother and decided she needed to rest and sleep, if possible. It was such a kind gesture, and the rest of the staff were able to care for the mother better because of her dedication to doing all that is needed to care for our patients.
