I have had many nurses during my stay at BWH but Meg definitely stands out. She is truly a lovely and compassionate person. Being a nurse is not just a job for her. She really cares about the well being of her patients.
This was my first time being admitted to BWH. I have been here for 11 days and I go home today! Meg has helped make my stay so much more comfortable than I had expected. From her gentle voice and nature to her timely and attentive care, BWH is very very lucky to have her on staff.
I live alone with my cat and I'm coming out of a relationship with domestic violence. Meg was so incredibly kind and understanding of my situation without being too nosey or judgmental. It truly came from a place of compassion, at a time when I needed it the most. She always made a point to check on me and ask if I felt safe. And that meant a lot to me.
One day I was FaceTiming with my cat, it was the first time I had seen him since my admission. I became very emotional and started to cry. Meg was there for me, rubbing my shoulder and consoling me. As well as giving me private time to FaceTime.
Sometimes she would stop by to say hello even when she wasn't my nurse. Other times she would answer the call button to assist me when my own nurse was delayed. She truly went above and beyond her duties. Thank you, Meg!
