Please join me in congratulating 3B, recipient of the DAISY Team Award. Being a DAISY Award nominee is a special achievement. The fact that the team on 3B was recognized by a patient as being one of the best and was voted an Honoree by their peers makes it even more special. This unit has been challenged with a high vacancy rate, and yet they were able to remain positive and professional and work as a team to do the best for our patients. This is evidenced by what a patient wrote about the team:
"I am a former Healthcare Provider who has been hospitalized multiple times. With the combination of being on both sides of the bed, my experience is varied and vast. This crew of nurses was collectively the best I've seen. I didn't go without any requests, and they were provided in a kind and familiar way. The nurses worked with each other and for the patients. While one of the nurses on my unit had a medical cart thrown at her by an agitated patient, she still stuck her head in to say she'd be in a minute with my meds and she was, that's another level of multi care and patient priority.”
